Our mattresses are designed to work with a variety of foundations, but for the best sleep experience, we generally recommend a solid, supportive base with slats no more than 5 inches apart. Here are a few options:
- Platform Bed: A solid, flat surface with slats provides excellent support and doesn’t require a box spring.
- Adjustable Base: Our mattresses are compatible with most adjustable bases, which can offer added comfort for those who prefer a customizable sleep position.
- Box Spring: If you prefer a traditional box spring, especially for added height, just ensure it’s in good condition and offers stable support.

I had a tuft and needle mattress back in the day, so I was excited to hear these guys were back with their original idea. I have to say, I like this mattress even better than the tuft and needle. There is a little give so you feel cozy but firm support underneath it all. Highly recommend.
It feels risky buying a mattress online but this mattress is so worth it. Also no lingering smell after unpacking, super easy to unpack and set up! I never wake up sore anymore, really good support for side sleeper and stomach sleeper, holds shape and stays cool throughout the night. Literally LOVE it will never buy any other mattress but Boring Mattress again. Best sleeps of my life now- highly recommend!!!!
We were shopping and half assed looking at different mattresses for a while, heard the ad on our favorite local station and figured give it a look. Ordered one and after ordering realized something on the order didn’t seem correct. Sent in and email on a Sunday and maybe an hour later got not only a response but service. Unreal. We love the mattress, only minor issue is we both would like a little more firm. As of now 30 days in it’s been great and couldn’t beat the price also.
About 2 months in and I'm enjoying the mattress a lot, it has a nice balance of firmness and plush feeling.
The pillows are soft but not quite to my liking as it needs a bit of fluffing up from time to time or it'll get a bit flat
We had an 11 year old Tuft & Needle mattress which had been wonderful until the last year when it became too soft. Wanting to replace it, I saw that the reviews weren’t so good anymore. That’s when I found out the original owners had started a new company. I sent them a question about which would be closest to our T&N and got a response back right away. Our new king Boring AF mattress arrived 4 days after I ordered it. Mattress was easy to set up and we are old! We slept on it the first night and it was heavenly. My backaches were gone from day one and we are both sleeping so well. Our cat loves it, too, and he is very picky. Highly recommend. Picture is right after unboxing while still expanding.
